Senior Frontend Developer

Remote or Krapina Office

Are you a senior front-end developer who is looking for an exciting new challenge? Could you
innovate from the abstract? Have you got great skills with front end design, and deliver exceptional
UI enabling system users to drive software through graphical interactions? Are you curious about
the latest developments in the tech industry and do you want to have influence in bringing these into
the team? Are you able to voice ideas and lead the team with your vision? Then this role could be
for you. It is a hands-on coding role, but you will be able to bring your own skills to the role to shape Software Development on a new product to market.

Required Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline,
or evidenced relevant development & training
Required experience: 7+ years


Role description:

  • Workshop solution designs, building on abstract ideas and design flows to shape a new product.

  • Develop user interactions with the software using the latest design thinking.

  • Working closely with the UI/UX Design Team to progress design ideas to a working front end product that delivers an outstanding user experience

  • Work as part of an Agile SCRUM team breaking down, designing, estimating, developing, testing and documenting work as per requirements.

  • Ability to assess and prioritise technical issues and effectively communicate these priorities.

  • Undertake investigations/POCs and provide possible guidance on the best solutions to technical problems.

  • Triage/troubleshoot, assess and prioritise complex technical issues and effectively communicate these priorities.

  • Work closely with the business to ensure the product meets customer needs and does not have negative impact of existing customer functionality.

  • Early identification of risk and opportunities, and making data-backed decisions and recommendations

  • Feed into the architectural design of the products we are creating along with other team members to ensure the maintainability, quality, performance, integration and usability from both our customers and the company’s perspective.

  • Provide mentoring to other members of the team.

  • Hands-on coding.

Candidate experience:

  • Experienced developer with previous web-based SaaS technologies experience, working on a mixture of frameworks, environments and processes, and experience of working on projects in maintenance mode.

  • Demonstrable innovative thinking to address client challenges to develop new features and functionality with high performing code to deliver effective solutions.

  • Eagerness to keep up with and where possible ahead of industry standards and willing to encourage and bring others along with them; ultimately, you need to enjoy creating quality software and pushing the boundaries.

  • Experience in leading and influencing cross disciplinary teams and an ability to bring new ideas to our company.

  • Knowledge of project and programme management methodologies would be advantageous.

React,
JavaScript (including jQuery),
HTML5, and SCSS
RESTful APIs


Extras (an advantage):
Our client build web-based applications using Microsoft technologies. An awareness and/or
understanding of the backend technology would be advantageous, but is not critical to the role and
front-end dev’s won’t be required to work on the back-end.
